What use is a heart
When it sits
like a lump of lead
hard and heavy
In your chest?
Radiating bile and bitterness
Out into the world ~
It serves it's purpose
As a warning to the rest of us
To keep it flexible
This most important muscle
Or risk
A lonely death.
